Obituary of Ronald Samuel Hartley, Jr.

Ronald Samuel Hartley Jr., 46, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 27th. after battling Huntington's Disease. From a young age, Ron was always full of energy, ideas and determination, becoming an Eagle Scout at the age of 15. During his college years he was program coordinator for his beloved childhood summer camp, Camp Innabah. He earned his bachelor's degree in History at Penn State University and a master's degree in Theology from Emory University. He was extremely proud of being a volunteer firefighter, working for the Boy Scout organization and being involved in local politics. A loving husband and father, Ron is survived by his wife, Nancy Gee-Hartley, and his 10 year old son, Mark, the joy of his life. Also by his brother Kenneth and sister-in-law Amy, nephew's Samuel and Elliot and his Grandmother, Doris Bronson. Preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Carol Hartley and Grandfather Daniel Bronson, Sr. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Waterford Township Fire Department, whose members were so kind to Ron for the short time he was with them. Their address is 2208 Atco Avenue, Atco, NJ 08004. Friends and family are invited to attend Ronald's memorial visitation on Friday, January 6, 2017 from 2:00pm to 2:30pm at the LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ and a memorial service will follow. Cremation will be held privately to the family.
