Obituary of Robert F. Johnson

Robert F. Johnson, 67 yrs., suddenly passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at his home in Williamstown, NJ. He was born in 1950 in Woodbury, NJ to the late Robert & Sara Johnson (nee Harper), both devoted loving parents. Robert was a carpenter by trade and was a member of the United Brotherhood of Joiners & Carpenters Local # 1050 out of Philadelphia, P.A He is survived by his beloved wife, Karin Johnson (nee Manger) of 33 yrs who loved each other unconditionally; loving children, Melissa Johnson of Deptford, N.J, Randy Johnson of Williamstown, N.J, Crissy Ederle (nee Johnson), Chris Enderle (Son-In-Law) and Robert Johnson; loving grandchildren, Sara Enderle and John Enderle and cousins Robert and Shirley Mason of S.C and Barbara Giordano, of North Jersey, and so many wonderful friends. Robert was a hard worker his entire life. It seemed there wasn't anything he couldn't or wouldn't try or do himself. His family and friends called him the "Jack of ALL Trades." Robert Joined the Carpenters Union In 1985, where he acquired the nickname "Dirty Bob", a nickname that would stay with him for the rest of his days and beyond. Bob had many hobbies throughout his lifetime. He loved tinkering on projects from restoring cars, to fixing things around the house. Robert enjoyed hunting and fishing with friends and family. He bought an old boat, tore it apart rebuilt it from scratch, and enjoy many years of fishing on it. Bob parlayed his woodworking skills into bird houses several years ago, and enjoyed feeding and caring for the birds outside in the backyard. He and his wife Karin's latest hobby together were raising Purple Martins. Last year Bob contacted the Purple Martin Conservation Society/Association to learn how to raise these birds. Within no time he knew how to raise and care for these birds inside and out. He would say "Martins rely on humans to protect them, and I will care for them as long as I can." A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, April 8th from 10-11am with a service at 11am at LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ.
