Obituary of Richard R Kind
Richard R. Kind, 76 yrs., passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving family. Since November 2016 he was being treated for stroke like symptoms and then diagnosed with Glioblastoma in January 2017.
Richard was born in 1940 to the late Norman Kind and Eleanor Cronmiller in Audubon, NJ. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1959 and served two terms until 1965. He received a Good Conduct Award. Richard was a mechanical engineer, retired twice from Coor Engineering and ITC in 2013. He was well versed in numerous areas of engineering and was an avid gun and knife collector. Richard enjoyed skiing whether it was in snow or water, fishing and loved boating.
Richard is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Rosalind Kind (nee Weintraub); loving sons, Michael Kind and wife Meaghan (nee Feeney) and Jeffrey Kind and wife Nicole (nee Branca); sisters, Diane Pancoast (nee Warren) and Phyllis Kelleher and partner Dennis Mahar; loving granddaughter, Payton; nieces and nephews, extended family and friends and eight month old cockapoo, Ryleigh.
Cremation is being held private for the family. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Corbin City on the Tuckahoe River during the month of June of 2017.
