Barbara,
I know that words are inadequate at a time like this but I wanted you to know how very sorry I am for your loss. Your loss is a tragic event and I know the pain and suffering you are experiencing.
It is times like this that our faith is put to the test. You know that you must accept his passing and give thanks for the wonderful life he lived. As sad as it will be, you will always have the memory of him to hold in your heart.
The Bible reminds us that "Blessed are those that mourn for they shall be comforted." I pray that this will be especially true for you as you mourn your loss.
I pray that God will give you the strength to see you through this sad and difficult time. My thoughts and prayers will be with you and your children.

Dear Barbara,
I was Bill's third and fifth grade teacher. It isn't supposed to happen this way... A teacher shouldn't outlive their students. I loved your husband for his inquisitive mind and insatiable thirst for knowledge. He would come into class and inform me of current event news in which he thought that I would be especially interested. I loved that he was so animated when he told a story or spoke about something or someone he loved. He was a wonderful and caring little person and a he grew to be the same as an adult.
I am so sorry for your loss and the loss for all of us who so fortunately had him in our life.
May God bless you and your children in the most difficult time. Take solace in the fact that he will be looking for the most perfect location for you all to meet again.

Bill made my little Mia smile on her tough days going to school. He would call her "super Mia!" with a big smile on his face. He was a stellar member of our community. We are saying our prayers for the Gerace family and sending our deepest sympathy for this untimely loss.

Bill was a good man who loved being a firefighter. I remember when he came through firefighter 1. He was a little older than our usual student. He was a pleasure to train as he always had a smile on his face and you could tell he truly was falling in love with the fire service. I got to see Bill every year at the Lindenwold #2 annual Christmas party. He would always shoot right over when he saw me and ask how I was doing. We would talk about our firefighter 1 memories and what was current in the fire service. He would always ask how was the last class as we usually would have just finished a class. Gone to soon and the fire service has lost a model volunteer firefighter. Bill I will miss you, you were a joy to have at the he academy. Thanks for the smiles buddy. We will take it from here.

Bill gave of all of himself to those he knew and the organizations in which he was involved. I am PROUD to be his fraternity brother and to have worked closely with him on the Campus Activities Board (CAB) back in college. Bill lived & breathed the ideals of our fraternity and continued to be extremely active as an alumni. His enthusiasm and energy was contagious....you always knew an event would be fun if Bill was involved! He touched the lives of many many people and thinking of him always makes me smile.....funny stories abound! I am sure Bill would love to thought of that way. It is incomprehensible to think he is gone, but he will in NO WAY be forgotten. He will continue to bring a smile to all who knew him!

Still trying to get passed the shock of such a great loss. Growing up next door to The Gerace Family, we were always seeing each other in daily life. Then as we got older, and moved on, the contact not as often , but still part of the neighborhood. We are all greatly saddened that Billy is gone, but he will always live on. He touched many lives & I am very happy that he was a part of my life. Continued prayers & much love to all of you.
