Obituary of Geraldine A Wrigley
Geraldine Wrigley, 71, of Galloway, passed away peacefully early Friday morning, May 5, 2017, at the Samaritan Hospice, Voorhees. She was surrounded by her family.
Gerry was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to the late Gertrude Doyle Smith. She graduated from Northeast High School, Philadelphia, PA. Gerry spent many years as an accountant working her way up to Director of Accountants Payable before retiring in 2006, when her first grandchild was born. Along the way, Gerry met many people whose lives were touched forever. She was always ready with an ear to listen, words of wisdom to help, and a shoulder to cry on. Gerry never turned her back on anyone; nothing was too big or too small for her to be there. She was a true friend in every sense of the word.
Gerry took great joy in being a mother and in later years a grand mom. Her most precious days were spent with her children and grandchildren. She spent countless hours with her grandchildren, who were the loves of her life, babysitting, taking them on vacations, and spoiling them. Gerry also enjoyed golfing, spending time with friends and family, and watching her favorite television shows with a glass of wine. She will be desperately missed, but we know God has bigger plans for her and she will be watching over us all.
She is survived by her husband, Bill Wrigley; son, Brian Wrigley and his wife Jane of Thornton, CO; daughter, Allison Phillips and her husband Mark of Shamong, NJ; sister Gertrude Robinson of N. Wildwood, NJ; and grandchildren Jayna Phillips and Brody Phillips. She is also survived by many brothers and sisters in laws, nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held. As an expression of sympathy, contributions may be sent to a charity of your choice in Gerry's memory as she would lend a helping hand to anyone.
