Obituary of James V Chestnut

James Vashand Chestnut, (Mr. Jim), of Folsom, NJ, formerly of Voorhees, NJ, passed away on June 2, 2017 after a year long struggle with cancer. He was born August 9, 1941 in Belglade, Florida. He attended Aldelphi University. James taught Physical Education at Roosevelt Jr/Sr High School in Roosevelt, NY. He worked for IBM and owned and operated his own business, Chestnut Marketing Group. He was known for his passions of healthy living, athletics, his booming voice, broad smile and presence. He is the son of the late Annette and Charles Chestnut. He is survived by his loving wife, Donna and sons, Khary and Chip; his estranged children, Vashann and James Jr., brother, Charles Chestnut, sisters, Sheryl Thorne and Dorothy Harrell, his dog, Cole and many nieces and nephews. Cremation is being held private for the family. Memorial donations can be made to your favorite charity or public institution in his name.
