It was my great pleasure to be a neighbor and friend of Shirish and Gita Mehta and their daughters for many years. We lost contact when we both moved to other communities but I always hoped to rekindle the deep friendship that Shirish and I shared. I recently learned of Gita's passing and I feel a sense of deep regret and loss. I will never forget them.

To Gita's daughters and extended family: Please accept my sincere sympathy on the passing of dear Gita. She was a bright, caring person who used her gifts to benefit those she served in this world. She was so very proud of her daughters and loved to share stories as you were growing up--high school, college, marriage. She loved her immediate and extended family. The world has benefited from her light. May she rest in peace with her husband and soulmate. may you be comforted by the memories stored in your hearts.
Sincerely,
Mary Ann

I'm so sorry for your loss. Gita will be missed by all who knew her. We all tried our best to keep Gita busy by taking her to different work events, but I guess she missed her husband more. Rest In Peace Gita. Our Christmas parties won't be the same!

Faiba (Aunt in Gujarati) was a ray of light, always joyful, gem of a person and I have never met anyone who loved life so much. We know she is in a better place

Dear Mehta family, I was so sorry to hear about Gita's passing. We worked together with the Kennedy Health System and I felt very close to her. She is the most well traveled person I ever met. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I hope to attend her viewing. I will pray that God will carry you during your time of grieving. I also pray that you are comforted by your many happy memories of her.
