Glenn Warrington

Obituary of Glenn Lee Warrington

Glenn Lee Warrington died at his home in Atlantic City on Wednesday, August 9. Glenn was born in Glassboro on September 15, 1946 to Wendell (Reds) and Rose May (Morgan) Warrington and grew up in Woodbury. The family moved to Sewell when Glenn was 16 and he graduated from Clearview Regional High School in 1964.  He attended Marietta College in Marietta Ohio where he was an English Major and a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. It was there that he became known as “The Tuz” or “Tuzzy”, a name which his college friends called him to this day. Following college he enlisted in the U.S. Navy, an experience of which he was always proud. He worked in the Atlantic City Casino industry for almost 30 years prior to his retirement. Glenn was an enthusiastic genealogist and started research on his families prior to the availability of computers and databases. He spent countless hours at the Gloucester County Historical Society and the New Jersey State Archives in Trenton.  Glenn was academically gifted and was an incredible source of detailed facts and a master in answering questions on “Jeopardy” and “Who wants to be a Millionaire?” He loved reading biographies ranging from historical figures to music and Hollywood. He was also a great admirer of opera and also had a wealth of knowledge in that area. Glenn’s quick wit and sharp tongue were a source of both laughter and dread to his friends. Everyone who met Glenn knew he was a unique individual.

In addition to his parents and Brother Barry, Glenn was preceded in death by his Life Partner of 28 years Erick A. Ericksen, who died in 2015. Erick was the center of Glenn’s life and he never recovered from Erick’s sudden death. Glenn is survived by several life-long friends.

At Glenn’s request there will be no viewing or funeral services. Burial is private.
