Obituary of Eleanor Barbara Layman

Eleanor "Barbara" Layman (nee Bromfield), age 76 of Sicklerville, NJ, passed away on Saturday September 30, 2017 at Kennedy Hospital, Washington Twp. Beloved wife of Claude E. Layman, Jr. Loving mother of Jacqueline (Sam) Tofani, Claude E. (Jill) Layman, III, Cheryl (George) Polizzi, and the late Mark Layman. Proud grandmother of Sharon, Angela, Sammy, Gianna, Matthew, and Michael. Great-grandmother of Olivia and one on the way. Dear sister of Carole (the late Tim) Mollitor, Judy (Randy) Phillips, and the late Fred (wife Lisa is surviving) Bromfield. Barbara was born in Philadelphia, PA and had resided in Maple Shade, NJ before moving to Sicklerville in 1999. She worked as a telegram operator for Western Union in Moorestown for 18 years. Known as "Flash" to her family and friends, she loved taking pictures and making picture albums and collages. Barbara was a perfectionist and kept things very organized. She was an honest, dependable, gentle, and loving woman who will be greatly missed by her family and all that knew her. Viewing will be held on Wednesday October 4, 2017 from 9:00 to 11:00 am at the Leroy P. Wooster Funeral Home and Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ. A prayer service will begin at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Cremation will be held privately.
