Obituary of Alan M O'Connell

Alan M. O’Connell, 73 years of Haddonfield, NJ passed away on Monday, October 23, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Alan was born in 1944 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Robert and Elizabeth O’Connell (Boyle).

Alan was a wonderful man and will always be remembered as a compassionate caregiver. He was an art teacher at Penns Grove High School and was a postman for the United States Postal Service in Camden and Atco. He was a sensational artist and specialized in portraits. Some of his favorite artists were Singer Sargent and Maxfield Parrish. Alan cherished traveling and was a car enthusiast. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is predeceased by his beloved parents; brother, Bobby O’Connell and cousin, Terry Cogan. He is survived by his loving sister, Dian Hattrick and husband Ken; nieces and nephews, Corey, Adam, Sean, Lauren, Kelly, Isabella and Sophia and wonderful friend, Gordon Wilson.

Cremation is being held private for the family.
