10/31/17 Sandy Biggs
Well I woke up far too early this morning with Sandy in my consciousness. Sandy came to me bringing beautiful memories and sounds of joy and laughter, all of my memories in “harmony”. What an appropriate word for what Sandy so generously gave to everyone she touched.
Sandy loved us unconditionally and I will always “feel the love”. How blessed we are.
I joined JS around 1999. I coveted Sandy’s wonderful voice. Being a BASS rocks. Sandy’s love and laughter embraced me never to let go, pitch perfect! Sandy, Anna, Linda and I roomed together for many JS and regional weekends!
When I moved “to the shore”, in order to go to JS practice, Sandy offered me a place to lay my head which often included dinner, breakfast, love and laughter and not too often an “Aleve”. We sang into the night after night for many years.
When Sandy had to stop singing, I felt her excruciating pain. I grieved with Sandy, needless to say, it gave us an occasion to lavishly “anoint” our sorrows. “Anointings” were “sacred”. Sandy’s back porch became our temple. We did snow rituals, rain rituals, “out of work sick” rituals and rituals to celebrate victories, “pondering” the world’s problems with mostly laughter.
We made each other laugh and on occasion just shook our heads.
And so it goes that blessings come into my life and Sandy is my angel of harmony and laughter. Blessed be to all of us who are privileged to share our hearts with Sandy.

Sandy was a beautiful, loving, and giving woman who touched so many lives over the years in a positive way. She loved life, making the most of every moment. She truly loved to travel, especially with Lori and Brenda. Wine? You bet! But be sure it's white, and preferably Chardonnay. Singing gave her great happiness, and truly sustained her. She absolutely loved to sing! And she brought as much pleasure to her fellow chorus members as music brought to her! But her biggest love was always her darling Al. She was sure to take him with here wherever she went and his picture always adorned the dresser in her room.
Sandy and I became instant friends when I met her over 20 years ago. She loved helping me sell my ornaments whenever I would set up a vendor booth at a Sweet Adeline convention. She was a natural sales person, as she loved people and they always responded to her natural warmth. I celebrate her life, as I could not have asked for a more loving and devoted friend. I rejoice in her passing as she will now be reunited with her dear husband Al, and will be able to sing in a chorus of Angels. She will fit right in!

Sandy, beautiful Sandy. You will be so missed here on earth but so very welcomed in paradise in our Lord's Heavenly chorus. Anyone who has ever known you has been blessed to immediately be your friend. You were always a bright and knowledgeable star on the Jersey Sound Chorus risers. We miss you but we also know you are well, happy, and in the loving arms of our Lord and Savior and have achieved the victory that we all look forward to. Rest in Peace Beautiful Lady.

Kate and I came to know Sandy when we joined Shades of Harmony Chorus. I sing Bass and Kate sang Tenor at that time, I remember our audition and acceptance night and the great big hug from Sandy. I got to sing beside her for some time and loved every note. When she couldn't anymore, she encouraged us girls, (Mandi, Amanda,Kate and Me) to try Quarteting. We wanted nothing more than to make Sandy happy so we dove in and formed Melody quartet and I never saw Sandy smile bigger than she did the day we competed at Region 19 for the first time. As you know someone wins and someone comes in last and we were ones who finished last but you know what Sandy said? You girls did your darndest and put it out there when others probably wouldn't, I am SO proud of you! We went on to compete one more time and this time didn't come in last, in fact we improve a bit and that was that! We love you Sandy rest easy, until we meet again!

To all the family of Sandy, I'm so sorry for your loss. I met Sandy through Sweet Adelines, and she was such a joyful person, always interested in encouraging those around her and helping everyone become the best version of themselves they could be. Sandy's influence on SAI Region 19 is strong, and her legacy of love for her singing sisters will last a very long time. Thank you for sharing her with us.

Sandy,
I wish I could re-trace back my steps within the last month. I wish more than anything that I had gone to the rehab & visited you one last time. The last time we spoke you told me you were feeling better, and that I would be able to come back & clean your home soon. When I called you that day, the housecleaning was not my worry; My worry was you. Over the last few years of cleaning your home, I got to know you, and we became friends. You were like a grandmother to me. I will never forget the talks, and all of the advice you have given me, especially when you told me how to save money & to come up with different hiding spots that way I was never left without any money over the years. I am so saddened to hear about this, and you will always have a special place in my heart. You will forever be missed.
Love always,
Ashley

Sandy was my big sister in Jersey Sound. She welcomed me into her home to coach and support me. She was my mentor and friend and I was so blessed to have her as my big sister. I will never forget her kindness and everything she taught me. She holds a special place in my heart and I pray she is resting in peace. I called her my beautiful lady because she was inside and out. I will miss her and her smile!!!! Amelia

Sandy was a positive force in my life. New to barbershop 12 years ago, Sandy welcomed me with open arms. Over the years she was extremely supportive and encouraging. She had quite a zest for life that was absolutely contagious. Thank you, Sandy, for all the laughs and for your guidance. Until we meet again....
