Such a sweet, well mannered man...like a younger brother. He was raised right by his parents as he always knew to give me a kiss on the cheek. I will miss seeing his little motorbike zoom by. Always in a hurry. Always said 'hello'. Go with God.

Today I learned that:
• Alabama is No. 1 in final Amway Coaches Poll
• The recent SpaceX launch that was top secret is now lost
• Joe Arpaio will run for the Senate in Arizona
• North Korea will send athletes to the Olympics
• Joe Swierczynski passed away.
Only the last entry really matters to me.
I read the news of Joe’s passing in an email just a few hours ago.
We only had 210 people in our 1968 graduation class at St Joe’s High School in Camden and everyone knew one another . Even so, Joe really stood out.
He was smart, driven, athletic, successful and fun to be around. In short, Joe was the kind of guy we all wanted to be.
You were a good man, Joe, and I know you made your family proud.
May you rest in peace.

We shall certainly miss “Joe Shway” as he was called from K through 12. I had the pleasure of his friendship through St. Joseph’s Grammar School And St. Joseph’s High School, South Camden, NJ., a Memorable 13 years. Joe’s strong and upbeat personality made him, both school’s, persona primo grata. Quite the desired diplomat. Seeing him a couple of times at H.S.
