Obituary of John M. Pope

John M. Pope, age 95, of Waterford, NJ, formerly of Moorestown, NJ, passed away on Wednesday February 7, 2018. Beloved husband of the late Jane Anna Pope (nee Coonelly). Loving father John Martin Pope (Helene), MaryJane Pope Albin, the late Francis Xavier Pope (Valerie is surviving), the late Florence Pope Hartman (Joseph is surviving), and James Joseph Pope (Joan). Proud grandfather of Andrew, Rebecca, Timothy, Lorin, Kimberly, Kendra, Sarah, William, Kaitlin, Ryan, Daniel, John, Moira, Derek, and the late Mary. Great-grandfather of Abigail, Emilie, Hannah, Lilian, Stella, and Logan. John is predeceased by his 3 sisters. He will also be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. John was born in Philadelphia, PA and was a longtime resident of Moorestown, NJ before moving to Waterford, NJ 20 years ago. He proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II as a Fire Controlman on the USS Gaitlin. He then went on to work for RCA in Camden, NJ for 38 years, retiring in 1984. Visitation will be held on Saturday February 10, 2018 from 9:30 to 10:45 am at Christ the Redeemer Parish - St. Anthony Church, 436 Pennington Ave., Waterford, NJ.
