Obituary of Carmela J. Schindler

Tempus Fugit, time flees. After 84 years, On Monday October 18, 2010 it was Con te Partiro. Carmela J. "Millie" Schindler (nee Monnoleto) passed away at home in Vineland. Mrs. Schindler was born in Trenton and had been a longtime resident of Pittsgrove. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she'll be fondly remembered as a great cook who made the best cheese bread and an unforgettable gravy. Millie had loved the casinos, to crochet and play bingo and pinochle. In her later years, she retired to South Carolina with her husband. After his passing in 2000, Millie had returned to NJ and resided in Williamstown then more recently, Vineland. Millie became an active volunteer and joiner. She was an avid bowler and had bowled in leagues. She had served on the Mater Dei Nursing Home Ladies Auxiliary in Newfield and on Resident Council at the NJ Veterans Memorial Home in Vineland. Mrs. Schindler is the wife of her late husband of 64 years, Frederick A. Schindler. She is survived by her children Joanne & her husband Robert Feeters, Frederick & his wife Linda, Thomas, Karl & his wife Theresa Schindler. Millie is the proud grandmother of 5, great grandmother of 7 and is also survived and will be sadly missed by her siblings Mary Anucci and Lou Monnoleto. Relatives and friends are invited to join the Schindler family for a time to say goodbye on Tuesday morning between 10 am and 11 am at St. Mary's R.C. Church, 265 Old Dutch Mill Rd., Malaga where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am, Fr. Ed Namiotka Celebrating. Inurnment will be held privately. As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Cumberland County SPCA 1244 N. Delsea Dr. Vineland, NJ 08360.
