Hal,
Although it has been a long time since we last spoke, I just wanted to pay our respect and let you know that you have our deepest condolences (from both my wife (Mary) and I). You have been a good friend through the years and should have been blessed with more time to spend with your wife. May she rest in peace and know that she is in a better place now.
Your Greek friend,
Angelo

My dearest and lifelong friend Roberta. To me you were always "Roberta". You told me that only your family and I are the ones who called you Roberta. We knew each other since we started life together in Parkchester, Bronx, New York. I remember you always making me laugh and especially when you were doing all your tricks on the Monkey Bars (as they called it in those days). When you moved to Pennsylvania, Drexil Hill, we were just 9 and 10 and I was totally devastated. We always kept in touch and wrote letters to each other all the time. You spent some time with me in the summer when you were 14 and we hung out with my friends and everyone liked you...especially the boys. You had a great outgoing personality and you were so pretty and I remember us dancing to Rock and Roll music..what fun we had.
Years later, we both were married and when we had children, they were the same ages so we got together a few times until busy schedules with the children prevented us from seeing each other frequently. We also lived quite a distance from each other, me in North Jersey and you in South Jersey. We never forgot our wonderful friendship and always spoke a few times a year and called each other on our birthdays always. I keep thinking of you Roberta and cannot believe you are not with us any longer. I will miss you so very much and always love you. You will live on in my heart forever. May you Rest in Peace my dear and best friend.
