Obituary of Roger James Mauro

Roger James Mauro, age 79, of Cedar Brook, NJ, passed away on Friday April 13, 2018. Beloved husband of Lois J. Mauro (nee LaCourt). Loving father of Andrea (Joe) Strain, Roger Mauro Jr., Paul (Donna Lynn) Mauro, Tim (Angie) Mauro, Renée (Frank) Hildebrand, Eric Mauro, and Tom (Julie) Mauro. Proud grandfather of Stephanie, Justine, Gina, Alexis, the late Nicole, Erin Patrick, Philip, the late Alexandria, Sara, Shannon, Rachel, Eric Jr., Catherine, Rachael, Olivia, Isabella, Katie, and Ashley; great-grandfather of Alivia, Fynley, Everly, Kaleb, Benjamin, Willow, Alana, and Nolan. Dear brother of Victoria, Adeline, Gloria, Ralph, Maryann, and predeceased siblings Louise, Jenny, John, Phil, and Loretta. Mr. Mauro is also survived and will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. Dad, between our faded memories and the restored old home movies, we've realized something, you've done it all! 60 years of marriage, raised7 children, built our house, a barn, a pool, and had your own farm, crops, and animals for years. You drove us all over the place on vacations and day trips, farmed, hunted, fished, dug and filled in graves, drilled water wells, painted, worked as a plumber, made wine from your own grapes, and mowed grass. You made Christmas morning the greatest day on the planet. When it came to fried eggs, you won first place! You danced YMCA and loved us unconditionally all our lives. We love you so much and will miss you forever. Viewing will be held on Tuesday April 17, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and again on Wednesday April 18, 2018 from 9:15 to 10:15 am at the Leroy P. Wooster Funeral Home and Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ. A mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 am on Wednesday at Christ the Redeemer Parish/Sacred Heart Church, 250 Rt. 73 South, Cedar Brook, NJ 08018. Interment will follow at New St. Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in memory of Roger J.
