Obituary of Thomas A. Rowan

On November 15, 2010 of Atco, NJ age 91yrs. Beloved husband of the late Elva (nee Cloud). Devoted father to Dorothy DeLiso and her husband Michael of Bellmawr and Elizabeth Gramm and her husband Paul of Vineland. Grandfather of Jennifer Pierce (Wayne), Andrew DeLiso, Katherine Martin, Pamela DeLiso, Brandi Martin, Matthew DeLiso and Cynthia Martin. Great Grandfather to Julia Martin, Lucus Pierce, Nicholas Martin, Carolyn Camp, Bethany Golasso, Abby Robinson and Jake Foster and the late Savanna Dallessandro. Mr. Rowan is also survived by his brother and sister in law, James and Joan Cloud and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Peter and Elizabeth Rowan, a brother Samuel and his sisters, Katherine Hickman, Elizabeth Cunane and Martha Penkava. Uncle Tom, as he was fondly known was a Veteran of World War II serving in the US Army, he was a former Chief of Police for Waterford Twp., a Past Commander of the Atco Vol. Fire Co. Ambulance Unit and a life member of the Atco Vol. Fire Co. He was also a member of the Atco Senior Citizens Club and the VFW Post 330 of Sicklerville. He was a dedicated employee of Transport of NJ for over 42yrs. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Friday evening between 7:00 and 9:00 pm and again Saturday morning from 10:00am to 11:00am at the LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home 441 White Horse Pike, Atco. Funeral services will begin at 11:00am. Interment with military honors will follow at the Berlin Cemetery, Berlin, NJ.
