Joseph Chew

Obituary of Joseph Chew

JOSEPH CHEW, SR. Raised in East Camden, Joe loved playing baseball, softball & later wiffleball with his grandchildren. He even had a tryout with the Phillies in the early years. He later moved to Atco and became a self-made business owner of Aluma Seal Co. Inc. He started his own softball team that was well renowned in the South Jersey area. He then opened Alum. & Vinyl Co. Joe was a lovable guy who befriended everyone. If he knew you - your were a friend. He loved people and his fast cars (loved that Hemi!). Joe was an avid shopper who loved his fleamarkets. But most of all, Joe loved his grandchildren. He talked about them all the time. Although a man's man, he would still get tears in his eyes when watching sad movies. Joe was one of a kind & irreplaceable. He will be sadly missed by his family & friends. A wonderful and warm husband and father, Joe is survived by his wife of 20 years Mary Chew (nee Curry), his children Joseph & his wife Linda Chew, Jr. and Paul & his wife Joan Resnick. Mr. Chew is the proud grandfather of Joseph, III, Daniel, Kyle and Jake. Relatives and friends are invited to Joe's viewing on Tuesday evening between 7 and 8:30 pm at the LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home 441 White Horse Pike, Atco where a remembrance ceremony will begin at 8:30 pm. Inurnment will be held privately. As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers donations can be made to a charity of the donor's choosing. To e-mail a condolence please visit www.lpwoosterfuneralhome.com
