James Miller

Obituary of James H. Miller

James H. Miller For all those lazy afternoons you cheered on your Eagles, Phillies & Soul from your favorite chair and all the times you wrestled us to the ground. Though your heroes were on the field, the track and the screen you were our hero all along. The best fisherman; husband, father and brother. It's the end of the race, suddenly on December 17, 2010, at the age of 65, James H. Miller, Jr. completed his "monster mile" and passed under the checkered flag. Jim was a hard worker with a mind of his own. He faithfully defended his Country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. Jim was a Master Plumber who owned and operated the James Miller, Jr. Plumbing & Heating Co. for almost 30 years. He had been a Past President of the NJ State League of Master Plumbers and had been a member of the Association of Plumbing & Heating Contractors of Camden County. Most recently he was pursing his Plumbing Inspector certification. Jim was an avid fisherman. He loved to fish but wouldn't eat it. His prized trophy was a 150 lb Halibut, caught off the shores of Alaska, which he shared with his entire family. Jim is the son of James H. & the late Ethel Miller, Sr. He is survived by his wife of 8 years Marie (nee Marini) and is the father of Beverly Miller and Michelle Fuller. Jim is the proud grandfather of Morgan and Parker McNaughton and Mason Fuller. He is the oldest brother of Jeanne (Mark) Georgette, Carol (Russ) Ranck, Betty (Glenn) Garwood, Joan (Anthony) Lombo, Mary Ruggerio (Gene), Doris Jurkowski (Ron), Joyce (Frank) Lucci, Barbara (Mark) Lupinetti, John (Ginger) Miller, Debbie (Paul) Maguire, Robert (Angela) Miller, Jay (Heike) Miller and Glen Miller. Jim is also survived and will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews and friends Relatives and friends are invited to Jim's viewing on Monday from 6 to 9 pm and on Tuesday from 10 to 11 am at the LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home 441 White Horse Pike, Atco where a funeral ceremony will be celebrated at 11 am. Pastor Joseph Beggs, officiating. Inurnment will be held privately.
