Obituary of George Medina

George Medina, 68, of Atco, NJ (born in Puerto Rico and raised in Philadelphia, PA), died after a courageous struggle with liver disease on February 8, 2011 with his family by his side at Jefferson University Hospital. George was cherished by all for having been a devoted patriarch to his family, a dedicated and well-respected businessman, and a man who was true to the Lord and served as a longstanding and proud member of the Atco Assembly of God. He was survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Angela (Neri), his mother, Josephina, two brothers and a sister. He is also survived by 10 children who now have families of their own, but all feel blessed to have had the privilege of being raised by a man who, through his actions rather than words, imparted upon them strong morals, values, and ethics. Additionally, George will be missed by his 18 grand and 4 great grand children who all have nothing but love in their hearts for their Grandfather whose sense of humor, warmth, and kindness always made them smile. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 11, 2011 at 8pm following a viewing to begin at 6pm at the Atco Assembly of God located at 615 Jackson Rd., Atco, NJ; inurnment will be held privately. The family asks that we not mourn the loss of this man, who was loved and respected by all those who knew him, but to rejoice in his eternal life.
