Obituary
Obituary of Eugene Zadroga
We that loved him, so followed him, lived in his mild and magnificent eye, learned his great language, caught his clear accents, made him our pattern to live and die. "Od powietrza, glodu, ognia, wojny i naglej, niespodziewanej smierci - zachowaj nas Panie!" On Saturday February 26, 2011 a golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands finally at rest; God broke our hearts to prove he only takes the best. Eugene Zadroga passed away at the age of 84 at Cooper Hospital in Camden.
Eugene was born in Leman, Poland and had been a longtime resident of Atco. Eugene was proud of and deeply rooted in family, his faith and his Polish heritage. He was a longtime member of the Polish American Congress which defended Polish ideals and promoted the advancement of Polish culture. He had been a dedicated parishioner of Assumption Church in Atco and worked along side his son in their family business Z & Z Welding & Fabricating also in Atco.
Should you go first and I remain, one thing I'd have you do, walk down that long path, for soon I'll follow you. If you go first, I'll want to know each step you take, that I may walk the same. For some day down that road you'll hear me call your name. Mr. Zadroga is the widower of the late Genevieve (nee Wielchowski). He is survived by his sons Richard and his wife Terry of Atco and Allen D. and his wife Joann of Cotopaxl, CO. Gene is the proud grandfather of Kim, Richard and his wife Michelle, Mark, Matthew and his wife Amanda, Christopher, Jacquelyn and great grandfather of 6. He is also survived and will be sadly missed by his sister Cecelia Duda of Atco.
In Sacred memory, relatives and friends are invited to Eugene's viewing on Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 pm and on Thursday morning from 8:30 to 9:45 am at the LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home 441 White Horse Pike, Atco. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday morning at 10:30 am at Christ the Redeemer Parish (Assumption Church) Atco.
