Obituary of Laurette Bouret Rappoport

Long time Northfield, NJ, resident Laurette Bouret Rappoport, 90, a well-liked former French and substitute teacher at Atlantic City High School, died this week of complications of a stroke and surgery. Wife of Ventnor native Lt. Colonel A.I.Rappoport, USAF retired, the couple have lived for the past 12 years at The Fountains at Cedar Parke,a retirement home in Atco. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Michele, of Tucson, Arizona. The couple was married for 59 years. A native of Quebec, Canada, Mrs. Rappoport before her marriage was a prominent personality in the World War II era on French Canadian radio, hosting numerous programs. A memorial reception in her honor is being held Friday, May 8, from 2-3 pm, at The Fountains, 114 Hayes Mill Road, Atco. The family requests no flowers or gifts be sent.
