Obituary of Florence G. Vittorelli

There's an ancient belief that a swan, at the moment just before the end of its life, sings a beautiful song. That moment and beautiful song came on the holy day of rest for Florence G. Vittorelli (nee Sciotto), at the age of 89, on Sunday April 10, 2011 at the Virtua Rehab in Berlin. The melody of Mrs. Vittorelli's song is one made of love, care, honesty and a wonderful sense of humor. She simply had the mother's magic touch with bright sunshine in her smile. Love in everything she did to make her children and grandchildren's life worthwhile. Florence was born in Philadelphia, PA and had been a resident of Berlin and more recently Atco. Music is love in search of a word. She loved music and singing and even had the opportunity to sing on the radio as a child. Florence had been deeply faithful and was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Berlin and later Assumption Church in Atco. During her younger years she loved to visit the casinos, bowled in weekly leagues and had her pinochle and bingo nights. Mrs. Vittorelli loved to boat and travel but in later years just sit on the dock with her feet in the water, yelling at the boats making wakes or playing trivia games. Mrs. Vittorelli is the wife of her late husband John and mother of the late John "Sonny" Vittorelli. Florence is survived by her children Rita & her husband Thomas Regan of Berlin, Bob & his wife Carmella of Port Republic and Bunny & her husband Henry Nowacki of LA. She is the proud grandmother of 17, great grandmother of 27 and great, great grandmother of 1. Relatives and friends are invited to Mrs. Vittorelli's swan song on Wednesday evening between 7 and 8 pm at the LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home 441 White Horse Pike, Atco where a memorial ceremony will be celebrated at 8 pm. Inurnment will be held privately.
