Obituary of Ruth E. Zoppel

Ruth E. Zoppel passed away Thursday, April 21, 2011 at Neshaminy Manor, Warrington PA. She was 95 and the wife of the late Louis V. Zoppel, Sr. who was the co-founder of the Lion Tamers Club, Atco, NJ. Born in Philadelphia, daughter of James and Eva Andrews, Ruth was a Frankford H.S. graduate and professionally trained, practicing Water Color artist. She was also employed in admnistrative positions at the former Edgewood Regional High School, Winslow, NJ. Ruth's life primarily focused on her beloved family and church. She exhibited exceptional skills as a homemaker, stressed the importance of good nutrition and also created her personal fashions as a talented seamstress. Ruth's Christian walk was devoted to indepth Biblical knowledge and its life application for each person whose life she touched. At the Atco Presbyterian Church, for many years, she sang in the choir and taught various classes. Ruth is survived by her son, Louis V. Zoppel, Jr.of Furlong, PA and her daughter Susan L. Smith of Perkasie, PA. She also had five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren most of whom reside in PA. Ruth's life embodied the dignity and importance of Christian and family values treating everyone with courtesy, respect and hospitality. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday, April 29 from 10AM to 11AM at the Atco Presbyterian Church. A Memorial Church Service will be held from 11:00 to 11:45 AM immediately following the calling hours. Luncheon to be served. The Atco Presbyterian Church is located at 2259 Atco Avenue, Atco, NJ.08004. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ruth E. Zoppel Memorial Fund at the Atco Presbyterian Church.
