Obituary of Johanna M.D. Nance
When Chief Crazy Horse was asked where his home was, he replied, "My land is where my people are buried. For in those sacred grounds he found a connection with his heritage and felt as though he belonged to a family. Here he found the hope that he too would be honored and remembered. Like chief Chief Crazy Horse, our home is where our people and our family are buried. It is here that many will feel the presence and love shared in life, a place where generations of the Nance and Pinapfel families will come to find a connection to their Viennese roots and Austrian heritage.
Johanna M.D Nance's legacy began on November 13,1923 in Vienna , Austria "Her city of dreams" and ended on May 16, 2011 in Berlin, New Jersey. with a date with a butterfly. In the 1950s Johanna came to the united states with her husband staff sargent Walter W, Nance. of the united states air force. there she started her life as a dedicated homemaker. She had touched her family,s lives in so many ways with the softness of her hands and the sound of her voice, because, that's how she said it in her language, Mensch argere dich nicht, apfel strudel, wiener schnitzel and christmas kipferl's.
