Obituary of Edward E. Phy

Throughout his life, Edward E. Phy, Sr. gave of himself to others. Instead of saying "no". or "I can't" Ed stepped up to the plate to lend that helping hand. From joining the US Marine Corp in 1952, to volunteering at the Atco Vol. Fire Co. and for the Atco Ambulance, to dedicating years with the Boy Scouts of America and in his later years, joining the Atco American Legion Post #311 in Atco. In the words of Lt. Col. J.H. Doolittle, "There is nothing stronger than the heart of a volunteer" Ed is survived by his wife of 54 years, Joyce, H. (nee Aron) Father of Debra Coddington of Erial, Edward E. Phy, Jr. of Bellmawr and John W. Phy of Blackwood. Brother of Robert Phy, Jr. of Abington, PA. Grandfather of 8, Great Grandfather of 2. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Sunday, June 26th 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ. (856)767-0539.
