Obituary of Leroy C. Guldin, Sr.

I am called to many duties Lord and now I've been called home. I've had to leave the ones I love to stand before your throne. I'll not complain, it's not my way but there are some things I'll ask. And please, Lord, grant them to me, for the loved ones I hold fast. I dare to ask because I know how you've blessed in the past. I've learned to trust in your grace, O Lord, that's how I've come this far. So now, O God, I humbly pray hear this Fire Chief's prayer. The final alarm rang for Retired Chief Leroy C. Guldin, Sr. on July 9, 2011. He was 81 years old. Chief Guldin was the Fire Chief for over 42 years at the Ancora State Hospital in Winslow Twp. Leroy loved his hobbies, especially fishing for stripers and flounder on the Delaware Bay. In his early years, he also enjoyed building model boats and air planes. Chief Guldin is survived by his children, Cindy Lee Jennings-Wheeler of Enterprise, FL, Lee C. Guldin, Jr. of Waterford, NJ, Charles Guldin of Atlantic City, NJ, Denise Devecchio of Waterford, NJ, Kristen Worrell of Medford, NJ and Megan Guldin of Sicklerville, NJ. Grandfather of David, Heidi, Denyal, Andrew, Heather, Charles, Joshua and Ty. Great Grandfather of Briella. His children Love him and are much better people having him as the Dad in their lives. He will be missed until we are all together again in his heavenly home. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation with his family on Tuesday July 19, 2011 from 6:00pm to 7:00pm at the LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ (856)767-0539. A memorial service will begin at 7:00pm. Interment will be private.
