I just found out that Chick had died today from a former student of ours who was walking past my house in Winslow Township. Chick had called me a while back, but I was unable to return the call because there was a block on his number. I tried several times. I was planning to visit his home to visit. I was looking forward to it more than anyone will ever know.
I was one of his friends, having worked with him for several years at the Regional Day School and then the Winslow Township Middle School. He was a fun guy. He always had a joke to tell or a pleasantry to share. I would oftentimes have something funny to tell him when we passed in the hall, and he would have a more funny response. He would care when I had a problem, responding with solid advice that seemed to be based on his careful reflection. He also liked my father who was a teacher at the Regional Day School and would enjoy talking about memories of him after his passing in 2014. This is a big loss for me and I'm sure for a large number of other people.- former students, teachers administrators and many friends that will never forget him. Like I said, this is a big loss for me.

Dear Family and Friends.
From my aunt Mary Brown and me, I send our sincere condolences. We love Chick.
Chick, his mom, and grandmother were neighbors of my aunt. As my aunt aged, Chick would keep an eye on Aunt Mary to make sure she was okay...even to the point of calling and telling me her garage door was up when it shouldn't have been.
I grew to know Chickie over the many years visiting Aunt Mary. Chickie and I became friends. I enjoyed the many and varied discussions we had. Sometimes we were on the same page and sometimes we weren't. I loved to hear him say my name, Joyce, then pause and make his point in his special way of speaking.
Chickie loved his family, friends, students, and community.
Chickie lives in my heart.

It is with great sorrow that I extend my sincere condolences to the Molway Family. I worked with Chick at the L.C.C.R. and Winslow School Districts. Chick was an extremely nice person with a heart of gold. In our most recent years he greeted the buses in the morning and in the afternoon. Everyday I heard him encouraging various students and staff members, in his most kind and gentle manner. He will be sorely missed.
Rest in Peace Chick.....

My parents and I live across the street from Chick and we became quite close in the past few years, he would come sit on the porch with me often, over the past six months or so I experienced his depression, pain and sadness and I tried desperately to help him overcome those feelings through conversation and prayer, my heart hurts to think that I could not have done more to help him. My prayer is that he is at peace now and that God will give you and your family strength understanding and peace through these trying times I am going to miss my friend and neighbor. I pray that today and all those that follow are filled with Gods Grace, Mercy, and Favor over you and your family.

I always thought the world of Chicky. He played football, on defense, with my son Joey DeSorte. After the game 4 or 5 of them came over our house and I'd make them all huge hoagies, with a gallon of milk and two bags of chocolate chip cookies. When ever Chicky saw me he would always give me a big bear hug. He was always polite and treated me with respect. I am so heartfully sorrow that he is no longer with us, and we will keep your family and Chicky in our prayers.
Our Deepest Sympathy,
Cheri and Joe DeSorte
