Having no brothers, he was my veritable Big Brother, always encouraging an supportive; in the absence of my father in wartime, he was a type of father; he treated my children with tender care as he did his own father, mother, sister, brother, nephews and nieces. Chic was extremely versatile-building a room onto our first home, rebuilding the 100+y.o. family home, a "man's man", and godly husband and father. He was a Star in my life, never to be forgotten. We were all blessed to have him and to know and treasure him.
