Obituary of Gladys M. Holiny

Gladys M. Holiny (nee Fischer), age 92, of Cherry Hill , formerly Haddonfield, NJ passed away on Tuesday August 28, 2018.  Predeceased by her parents Henrietta(nee Saylor) and Stanley Fischer as well as her sister Barbara Fischer.  She is survived by her beloved daughters Jennie (Michael) Angelastro and Cynthia Holiny.

Gladys was born in Philadelphia, PA. A graduate of Germantown High School and Temple University. She worked as a teacher in Philadelphia before her children's births. After the death of her husband in 1964 she moved the family to NJ where she taught in Atlantic City, Merchantville and then Collingswood for many years. She will be remembered for her kind and gentle ways, the consummate "Kindergarten teacher".

Services and cremation for Gladys will be held privately.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
