Obituary of Michael C. Buchanan

In the early hours of crisp fall mornings, anxiously awaiting opening day there was peace on the water and the thrill of the catch. On the open road there was wind in his hair and dashed white lines stretching into infinity. What Mike has once enjoyed, we can never lose. All that he loved deeply, became a part of us. He showed us in his brief time here, not to be afraid, to take chances and to immerse ourselves in life. Our lives change with every breath we take. In the early morning hours of Wednesday September 7, 2011, our lives had changed, Michael C. Buchanan passed away suddenly at the age of 54. His life was not measured by the breaths he took, but by the moments that he took our breath away. Mike was born in Camden and had been a resident of Medford. He loved to ride his Harley, hunt and fish. On Sunday it was race time. He followed NASCAR and enjoyed throwin' back a few cold ones. Mike had worked at the Mid-State Correctional Facility in Wrightstown as a Communications & Operations Officer for 4 years and as a Warehouse Manager for NAPA in Cherry Hill for 16 years. Mike, your heart has brought great joy to many. Our hearts will never forget you. He is the husband of Christine J. (nee Patullo) of Medford and is the father of Michael F. & his wife Alisa of Mullica Hill, Joseph R & his fiancée Seana Paxos, Lauren M. Buchanan both of Somerdale, Danielle & her husband Eric Greene of Atco and Frank & his wife Lisa Fosbre, IV of Medford. Mike is the proud Grandfather of Tyler, Alexis, Angelina, Nicholas and Emma. He is also survived by his brothers William J. of Sewell and John E. Buchanan of Blackwood. Fill not your hearts with pain and sorrow, but remember me in every tomorrow. Wooster Funeral Home 441 White Horse Pike Atco where a funeral ceremony will be celebrated at 11 am. Inurnment will be held privately.
