Obituary of Virginia R. Capuano

Virginia R. “Gini” Capuano (nee Hanak), age 92, of Atco, NJ, passed away on Sunday October 28, 2018.  Beloved wife of the late Ret. Col. Joseph Capuano.  Loving mother of Danna Capuano, Susan (Brian) Buchanan and Maggie (Gustie) Benedetti.  Proud grandmother of Amy (Ed Gostkowski) Capuano, Gina Lazaris, Carly Novak, and Matthew (Dawn) Roberts; great-grandmother of Andrew, Eva, Peter, Yianni, and Logan.  She is also survived and will be sadly missed by her sister in law Carmen Cornely, as well as nieces Christine (Stephen) Denny and Caroline Cornely, and nephew Ray (Donna) Capuano.

 

Virginia was born in Omaha, NE, and resided all over the world with her husband and daughters, residing at the Fountains at Cedar Parke for the past 14 years.  She was a very resourceful and talented woman.  She handmade most of the amazing clothes for her children as they were growing up.  Virginia was a gifted oil painter, an avid golfer and bridge player, and she learned to play tennis while living in Iran.  As a military wife, she traveled extensively with her family, and became an accomplished hostess of many social and family events.

 

Visitation will be on Saturday November 3, 2018 from 2:30 to 3:30 pm at the Leroy P. Wooster Funeral Home and Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ.  A family eulogy will begin at 3:30 pm.  Interment of cremated remains will be held at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery.
