Obituary of David Wayne Thompson

David W. Thompson, age 79, of Marlton Lakes, NJ, passed away on Wednesday October 31, 2018.  Beloved husband of Beverly Thompson (nee Bortel).  Loving father of Brian (Nannette) Thompson, Kimberly (Kevin) McVeigh, Scott (fiancé Susan) Thompson, Bradd (Rebecca) Thompson, Kristy (Keith) Dorr.  Proud grandfather of Paige, Ashley, Kaitlyn, Annabelle, Kelly, Ava, Lily, Ella, and Jack.  He is also survived by his brothers Robert Thompson and Michael (Sandy) Thompson.

David was born in Bridgeton, ME and resided in Marlton Lakes for the past 48 years.  He proudly served in the United States Navy.  He went on to work for US Steel in Fairless Hills, PA for 35 years.  David was a longtime member of the Atco Presbyterian Church, and was past president of the Marlton Lakes Civic Association, a volunteer firefighter for 27 years with Evesham Fire Dept., Kettle Run Station, and a longtime poll worker for Burlington County.

Viewing will be held on Saturday November 3, 2018 from 9:30 to 11:00 am at the Atco Presbyterian Church, 2259 Atco Ave., Atco, NJ.  A funeral service will begin at 11:00 am.  Interment will be held at Locustwood Cemetery, Cherry Hill, NJ.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Atco Presbyterian Church at the above address.
