Obituary of Florence R. Borek
Florence Borek (Rakowska), 98, of Elm Town, passed away on November 5, 2018. She was a member of the Elm Town Home Owners Association. Being a frequent casino player, she enjoyed arranging bus trips for the Elm Town residents. She read the Courier-Post newspaper everyday and was an avid reader and a follower of the Philadelphia Phillies and Philadelphia Eagles teams. Earlier in life she enjoyed gardening, bowling and vacations to Wildwood Crest.
She is predeceased by her beloved husband John O. Borek, brothers, Theodore and Al Rakowski, and sister Claire Bannister. She is survived by her loving daughters, Barbara Comfort and Susan Buonocore (Lawrence); grandchildren, Danielle and Michael Buonocore; loving friend and caregiver, Carol James and grand puppy, Munchie.
Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Tuesday, November 13th from 11:00AM to 11:45AM at the Christ the Redeemer Parish, Church of St. Anthony, 450 Pennington Ave in Waterford Works, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12PM. Interment will be held privately and under the direction of the LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory.
