Joseph Magee

Obituary of Joseph P. Magee

On Monday September 19, 2011 Joe Magee had made peace and in an instant transition the pain was gone. If you're lucky enough to be Irish, you're lucky enough! Joe's luck of the Irish Began at the beginning of a rainbow on St. Patrick's day, 1938 in the city of brotherly love. Joey was a dedicated son and his home had contributed to the manpower of our nation, He served in the U.S. Navy to uphold our American ideals of freedom. Joe had a gruff personality. He was honest, straight forward and an all around good guy. Cowboys like us sure do have fun racin' the wind and chasin' the sun. There'll be no regrets, no worries and such.for cowboys like us. Joe loved his horse Annie, motorcycles and racing. He was the "go to" guy who could make or fix anything. Joe loved spending time in his garage and his basement. He was a farrier and a mechanic and had worked as Supervisor for the NJ Motor Vehicle Commission in Winslow. Joe loved country music and going to the Valley Forge to ride with his best and lifelong, cowboy buddy Wally. Joe was a smart and dependable son, husband and father who instilled a legacy of a strong work ethic. Pop-Pop always had candy in his pocket and loved giving his grandchildren his dollars. He was the "Bank of Penbryn." Joe is the husband of 42 years of the late Antoinette "Toni" (nee Azzoline). He is survived by his mother Dorothy E. Magee of Tansboro and his daughters Michele & her husband James Fitzpatrick of Penbryn, Patricia & her husband Thomas Fitzpatrick, Sr. of Tansboro and Robyn & her husband Dominick Fanelle of Cedar Brook. He is the proud Pop-Pop of Jamie (Buck) Connors, Tommy, Tammy (Joe) Lynch, Ben, Joey, Veronica, Louis and great Pop-Pop of Jessica Haileigh, Ember, Buck, Jr. and Haiden. When I reach the end of the rodeo road, don't shed no tears for me. When I reach the end of the rodeo road, set my pony free. Relatives and friends are invited to wish happy trails to Joe on Friday morning between 9 am and 12 pm at the LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home 441 White Horse Pike, Atco where a funeral ceremony will begin at 12 pm. Interment and military honors will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Berlin.
