Obituary of Gerald J. Oliva
Gerald J. Oliva was born on June 10, 1942 to Mary and Joseph Oliva. He was the loving father to sons, Scott (d.1987) and Brian. Proud new grandfather to Cameron. He graduated from Lower Moreland High School, class of 1960. He was a lifelong salesman working in the home improvement industry, then telemarketing and finally for a dental lab.
Jerry was an avid Philadelphia sports fan. His favorite teams were the Flyers, Eagles and the Phillies: in that order. He loved watching soccer on the Spanish station, loved the Olympics and the World Cup.
He loved all kinds of music. His favorites were Rock n Roll and the Blues. Some of his favorite artists include Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin and Boston.
There was nothing Jerry like more than sparking up a good conversation. He could engage anyone whether the topic be politics, current events, cooking, food or travel.
Jerry’s sons and grandson were the pride and joy of his life. The legacy of his kind spirit, passion for sports, love of music, and zest for life will live on through them.
