Obituary of Barbara J. Shrader

Barbara J. Shrader (nee Gaskill), age 74 of Mantua , passed away peacefully at home on Sunday September 25, 2011 surrounded by love and prayers. Barbara was born in Runnemede and spent most of her childhood traveling. She graduated high school in Salzburg, Austria . Barbara raised her family in Haddonfield and Haddon Twp. and was a long- time resident, and more recently a resident of Mantua. Barbara will be fondly remembered as an amazing, giving, strong, loving, forgiving and dependable mother who had a great sense of humor. For over 25 years, she was well-known and respected in the tri-county area as a professional real estate appraiser and had worked in real estate since the 1960's. The last few months, Barbara fought a courageous battle against cancer. She was an example and pillar of strength for her family as her spirit never wavered. Barbara leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters: Wendy Caputo of Concord, NC; Nancy Shrader of Marlton; Bonnie Malamut of Winslow Twp.; and Amy Williams of West Deptford. She is survived by her sister Marylyn Gallagher of Mullica Hill, NJ. She is the proud grandmother of 6 grandchildren; Justin and Lauren Malamut; Erica and Jason Williams; and Megan Carmody. Funeral services were held privately.
