Obituary of Harry C. Norcross

Harry C. Norcross, Sr., age 83 of Buena, formerly of Berlin borough, went home to be with his heavenly Father on Sunday November 27, 2011. Harry was born on February 24, 1928 in West Berlin and had served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Mr. Norcross spent 53 years working as a commercial artist and provided illustrations for children's books, the Boy Scout Manual and developed the logo for the "Long-A-Coming", Berlin Borough. During his career, two of his most prominent clients were Lippincott and McGraw Hill. Harry was a longtime and second oldest member of the Berlin Baptist Church. He was member and Past President of the Berlin Rotary Club but will be fondly remembered as a devoted and loving husband, father and "Pop-pop" who enjoyed walking the Ocean City Boardwalk, gardening, the internet and Turner classic movies. Mr. Norcross is survived by his wife of 61 years Antoinette (nee Jonello) Norcross. He is the father of Donna & her husband Daniel Hand, Kathleen Campbell, Harry & his wife Tracey Norcross, Jr. and Rebecca & her husband Rob Boal. Harry is the proud grandfather of Ethan Campbell, Christopher Fottrell, Gabriella Boal, Olivia Norcross and Brianna Boal. He is also survived and will be sadly missed by his sister Sara Ann Hartsig. Relatives and friends are invited to join the Norcross family in visitation on Saturday morning between 11 am and 12:30 PM at the Berlin Baptist Church 90 E. Broad St., Berlin NJ 08009 where a Memorial Ceremony will be celebrated at 12:30 pm. As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Berlin Baptist Church "roof fund" at the above address.
