Obituary of Ronald J. Sniffen

If you love, let it go. If it returns, it's yours. We need, in love, to practice only this.letting each other go because love lives on beyond goodbye. On Friday December 16, 2011 Becky, Stacey & Kristy let love go and country roads took Ronald J. Sniffen home at the age of 66. Ron's long haul began in Peekskill, NY on May 17, 1945. He was a thoughtful character with a big heart that had a language of his own. He was born in Peekskill, NY and had faithfully defended his country at the beginning of Vietnam in the U.S. Army. Mr. Sniffen worked as an over the road truck driver for 44 years, most recently he drover for Boyle Brothers in Marlton for the last 10 years. Becky and Ron were kindred spirits. A love that bud and left at the age of 12 when they first met, blossomed into a loving marriage of 10 years when that love returned. For him it was jeans, tee shirts, country music, dancing and karaoke or a .99 hot dog. He's not far from the cone and was never far from his family, which he adored most. Ron will be fondly remembered as loving and dedicated father, husband and pop-pop who some would say is nuttier than a pineapple. Mr. Sniffen leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Becky (nee Wyatt) Sniffen of Sicklerville and his daughters Stacey Lillagore - Green & her husband Mick of Barrington and Kristy & her husband Matt Pogozelski of Somerdale. Ron is the proud grandfather of Sarah, Alex, Kevin and James. Relatives and friends are invited to join the Sniffen family at the end of Ron's long haul on Wednesday morning between 9 am and 10am at the LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home 441 White Horse Pike Atco. where a Memorial Ceremony will be celebrated at 10 am, Pastor Gary Brennan, officiating. Inurnment will follow at the New Freedom Cemetery, Berlin.
