Obituary
Obituary of Marcy J. Griffin
Marilyn Monroe had once said; ".I believe everything happens for a reason. People change so you can learn to let go. Things go wrong so you can appreciate them when they're right." In the early morning hours of Thursday December 29, 2011 everything went wrong! The unspeakable became the unthinkable; The Lord suddenly swept Marcy off of her feet and carried her home.
Marcy was born in Clearwater, FL just before pitchers and catchers reported for spring training. "Headband" Marcy loved music and to sing, sing, sing. The melody of her ditty was one of Magnificently loud laughter and fun. She was a social butterfly who loved people and children and will be fondly remembered as "Junester" and "Guppy". Marcy graduated from Hammonton High School, Class of 2007 and had been pursuing a degree in graphic design at Cabrini College in Radnor, PA. She had been a member of both the Hammonton High School and Cabrini College Choir. Marcy worked as a server at Olive Garden in Voorhees for the past year and loved to bake and cook at home.
Marcy leaves to cherish her memory her parents Joseph C. & Diane (nee Delp) Griffin, III. And her sister Ashley & her husband Tony Waspi. She is the beloved aunt and godmother of Vinny Waspi and granddaughter of Joseph C. & Joan Griffin, II and Ernest H. Delp. She is also survived and will be sadly missed by her puppies Khloe, Kevin and Lucia.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the Griffin family to remember, celebrate and pay tribute to that song, that laugh and that love on Tuesday evening between 6 pm and 8 pm and on Wednesday morning between 9 am and 10 am at the LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home 441 White Horse Pike, Atco. Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday morning at 11 am at Christ the Redeemer Parish, Assumption Church 318 Carl Hasselhan Dr. Atco, Fr. Thomas Barcellona, officiating. Interment and graveside tribute will at Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson. As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society 1851 Old Cuthbert Rd. Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.
