Obituary of Elizabeth M. Desher

Laughter is a kind of music; it's a sound that signals the harmony of souls. A harmony is as if those souls were dancing, moving together in the joy of creation, the joy of participation and the living in the moment. Betty Desher had a fun loving soul and was full of laughter. She was independent and did things her own meticulous way. On Thursday February 9, 2012 Betty's prayer to St. Anthony were answered. The angels lead her into paradise and the choirs of angels received her. Betty was born in Philadelphia and had been a resident of Hammonton. She had worked for Viking Casual Furniture followed by Florida Pipe Furniture in Cherry Hill. Betty was a doting mother and grandmother. She loved dinner at Joe Italiano's, her Manhattans and could dance the night away to old blue eyes. In later years, Betty decided to be "Liz". A rose by any other name is still a rose. Betty, Liz, Mom or Grand mom, the memory of her is a happy one filled with an afterglow of smiles, now that life is done. Betty is survived by her daughter Linda Camillo (Michael Lynch and his family). She is the proud grandmother of Dominick Camillo of Seattle, WA and Korrin Camillo of New York, NY. Betty is also survived by her dear friend Lou Pace and many other dear friends and neighbors. Relatives and friends are invited to join the Desher family to hang their tears out to dry on Sunday evening between 6:30 and 7:30 pm at the LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home 441 White Horse Pike, Atco where a memorial ceremony will be celebrated at 7:30 pm. Inurnment will be held privately.
