Obituary of Muriel M. Gross
Muriel M. Gross (nee: Shoch) peacefully went home to the Lord at the age of 90 on January 7, 2019. She was the daughter of Muriel I (nee: Ellis) and James L Shoch. She was predeceased by her husband Albert P. Gross Jr. and her son Jeffrey D. Gross. She is survived by her son, Christopher J. Gross; grandchildren Christina Gross, Olivia Fay Gross, Jessica Lynne Gross, Kevin C. Gross, Christopher J. Gross II; Great grandson Russel G. Cauley III; nieces Kathy and Nancy Chronaker and nephew Steve Chronaker; and a grand nephew Jason.
Muriel was a lifelong member of the Park Avenue Community Church, Somerdale, NJ. She was a Pianist, organist, choir director and Sunday School teacher who greatly enjoyed reading, writing, knitting, quilting, history and genealogy. Muriel also joyfully served on the Board of Deacons, Board of Christian Education and was a member of the Gleaners Women’s club and an active member of the Resident Council. While at Voorhees Senior Living, she ran a Bible Study group, everyone will remember Muriel for her passion for music and the Bible.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019 from 10 am to 11 am at LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ 08004. Funeral Services will begin at 11 am. Interment will follow at Locustwood Cemetery, Cherry Hill.
