Obituary of Raymond William Shendock, Sr.

Raymond William Shendock, Sr., age 87, of Atco, NJ, passed away on Monday January 14, 2019.  Beloved husband of the late Constance “Connie” Shendock.  Loving father of Raymond W. Shendock, Jr, and John K. (Phyllis) Shendock.  Proud grandfather of Raymond (Megan) Shendock III, Monique Albertson, Anthony (Jami) Shendock, Tori (Liya) Shendock, and Sean Shendock; great-grandfather of 7.  Devoted brother of Marjorie Hirst, the late George Shendock, the late Florence Shendock, and the late Charlotte Cancelliere.  He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Raymond was born in Atco, NJ and was a lifelong resident of the town.  He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War.  Mr. Shendock worked as a truck driver for Teamsters Local 107 and later Local 676.  His jobs included driving for Shulman Air Freight and Henkles & McCoy.  Raymond enjoyed traveling to Florida and loved farming and riding in his golf cart.

Viewing will be held on Friday January 18, 2019 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at the Leroy P. Wooster Funeral Home and Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ, where a prayer service will begin at 11:00 am.  Entombment will follow at Berlin Cemetery Mausoleum, Berlin, NJ.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Legion Post 311, 2225 Atco Ave., Atco, NJ 08004.  Condolences may be shared at www.lpwoosterfuneralhome.com
