I have very fond memories of Skip and Joyce's frequent visits to the Sweetwater Casino when I worked there. Skip always managed to crack me up! I saw him a few years ago while he was doing masonry work at a friend's home. He hadn't changed a bit and still managed to make me laugh! My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Countless fond memories of Skip during our boating years on the Mullica at Sweetwater. I have a classic photo of Skip in one of his infamous skimpy speedos cooking at the firepit during a Sweetwater Yacht Club Burgee Day on July 10, 1988. In fact every photo I have of Skip is at some fun function at Sweetwater or on the boat somewhere. A life well lived - that's what it's all about, but it doesn't make us miss you any less. Rest in peace, Skippy! Our heartfelt condolences to Joyce and family. Love, the "C" Ottors

My deepest condolence to your family and friends during the most difficult time. There are no words that can ease the pain of losing a loved one. May you find peace and comfort in know that they are in God's memory and he assures us that we will experience the joy of seeing them live again here on this earth. (Job 14:14, 15)

Skip was always a kind man with a great sense of humor. I was a bartender at Billy’s Oak Grove and waited on him and Joyce many times. I will never forget his ‘80th’ birthday party when the lights went out at the bar! Skip was a real trooper! May he Rest In Peace and my condolences sent to Joyce family & friends.

So sorry to hear of Skip’s passing. We shared many good times with Skip & Joyce through the years on the Mullica, especially the silly olympics with the Yacht Club! He was a great guy and will be missed by many.

I am so sorry on the loss of your dear George aka Skip. Please know that Jehovah hears those who cry out to him, and he longs to be there for the mourning ones. (Psalms 34:17 & 18) He is close to the brokenhearted and feels your pain. My deepest condolences to the family, and may you find support and peace among those who also loved Mr. Gaul.

Our Dear Friend Skip rest in peace. To his family God be with you in your time of need. Our friendship goes back way before he moved to Sweetwater. We had many good times together with him and his family. Fireworks at the Chwastek's, Christmas Eve, Canoeing, camping, chicken barbecue, ( Richard and Skip had to make sure beer was good so they tapped the keg early in the morning), canoe race, teaching my kids to water ski, sail boating in Maryland on a hot August day, eating pancakes so he could have real butter but they served them margarine,(he was disappointed), swimming in the pool, clams casino and his delicious spaghetti sauce. He was a great friend and we will miss him very much.

The Sweetwater Yacht Club shares in mourning the loss of our beloved Skip. Founding member, former Commodore, but most especially a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and pillar of the community, Skip was loved by all and will be missed so very much. We share in your sadness and offer our deepest sympathies and prayers. God bless.
