Obituary of Gladys Amelia Patton

Gladys Amelia Patton (nee Turner) age 107 years passed away on February 26, 2019.  Pre-deceased by her husband who she married on February 4, 1937 in Baltimore, MD. Formerly of Morganton, NC, she resided in Williamstown for many years. Mrs. Patton was born on Westminster Street in Gloucester City, NJ on September 27, 1911. She is the loving mother of 5 children, Ned Ben Patton, Jr.,  (Carolyn), the late Fay Ahern (John, surviving), Ruth Little (Robert), Lois Hawk (Rev. Wes) and the late Susan Patton. Grandmother of Elizabeth (Beth) Howe, Lori Bier, Gregory Patton, Eileen Schillinger, Kathy Wurster, John Ahern, Scott Little, Karen Basu, Christopher Little, Christina (Tina) Yerkes, Michele Schrier and the late David Hawk. Great Grandmother of Jessica Howe, David Howe, Evan Bier, Rachel Bier, Juliet Bier, Matthew Bier, Cameron Schillinger, Alec Schillinger, Morgan Wurster, Grant Wurster, Alison Ahern, Bridget Ahern, Scott Little, Jr., Aidan Little, Kyle Basu, Campbell Basu, Emily Yerkes, Madelyn Yerkes, Andrew Yerkes, Owen Schrier, Elyse Patton, Garrett Patton and Norah Patton. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Patton enjoyed oil painting, crocheting, crossword puzzles and reading.

She became a Born Again Christian on August 23, 2018 and now knew Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior.

Her viewing will be held on Monday, March 4, 2019 from 10:00am to 12:00pm at the LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ. Her funeral service will begin 12:00pm with the Rev. Wesley Hawk Officiating.  Interment will follow at the Hillcrest Memorial Park, Washington Twp., NJ.
