Obituary of Susan M. Jolly
Susan “Sue” Jolly, RN. (Bunce) born on October 2, 1954 finished her last shift on March 18, 2019. Susan was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt and above all a friend to all who entered her life. Susan was born in Trenton, NJ, grew up in Levittown, PA and would eventually call “south jersey” home. Susan graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School and Bucks County Technical School where she would later earn her LPN. Susan decided to pursue her truest desire and become an RN nine years later by earning her degree from Hahnemann University. Susan enjoyed a career that she loved with all of her heart for over thirty years. There wasn’t a hospital she couldn’t work in, a patient she couldn’t take care of, or a smile she couldn’t find. One of her favorite places to work was Episcopal Hospital in Philadelphia where she honed her skills as a critical care nurse beside many women and men who remained her friends for a lifetime. Episcopal was known to this elite circle as the “Mecca”. Susan put her unbelievable skills to use when she took a leap of faith and moved to Temple University Hospital. At Temple, Susan found her love for cardiac nursing that never faded, even after her retirement. Susan left her mark on many doctors, nurses, and patients all of whom she called friends. Susan is survived by her loving husband of over forty years George A. Jolly III, her two loving sons Jason and Justin Jolly, her dearest sisters Christine Bunce and Linda Rae as well as her many extended family members and friends. Susan’s parents Raymond and Lois preceded her in death. The family will hold private services for Susan. Family and friends are encouraged to send donations to The Samaritan Hospice of Voorhees in lieu of flowers
