Obituary of Dominic Damiano

On Thursday, February 23, 2012 Dominic "Junior" Damiano passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loved ones. Mr. Damiano was a "tough old bird" who was born in Elm and was a lifelong resident of Hammonton. Dominic was always ready with a good joke and willing to give his opinion. He believed in perseverance, hard work, family, and steering the kids in the right direction. Dominic worked as a clothing presser at Atlantic Dress in Williamstown for 25 years and was an owner-operator at Kerr Concrete & Pipe in Folsom for 25 years before retiring in 2002. Dominic enjoyed hunting, riding motorcycles, and was a NJ state champion bowler. He was a member of the Landisville Social Club and was fond of betting on horses and playing cards at the Taj Mahal. Most of all, Dominic will be remembered as a wonderful dad, grandpop, and storyteller who loved sharing witty anecdotes with his family. Mr. Damiano is the husband of the late Victoria (nee Destefano) and is the father of Gloria Damiano & her girlfriend Lourdes Valentine, James Damiano, Sr., and Dominic Damiano, Jr. & his girlfriend Dawn Knight. Dominic is the proud grandfather of Natasha, Ariona, and James, Jr. He is the brother of the late Peter, but is survived and will be sadly missed by his brothers Daniel & Frank Damiano and his sisters Marie Nye and Florence Perry. Funeral Services will be held privately under the direction of the LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home, Atco.
