I had the pleasure of taking care of this beatuiful giving woman ever since she came to Virtua Health and Rehab. approx 8 years ago. I enjoyed endless conversations with her about her sons and her life when she was younger where she lived and about her husbands. She felt very blessed and she was. I was also blessed to be able to take care of such a sweet lady and to have gotten many hugs from her just for listenting to what she wanted to say. I will miss her terribly but she is at peace with her family and that is the greatest thing that could happen to a 106 year old beautiful woman. RIP Theresa we all miss and love you here it wont be the same without you on the 11 to 7 shift.

I spent two hours with Miss Theresa on Thanksgiving 2017. She told me so much about her life in Florida and her family. She was amazed at my profession as an over the road truck driver and said that I will be in her prayers. I pointed out the framed pictures that I sent and she remembers it arriving. God Bless to one awesome and inspirational woman.

Miss Theresa made an afghan for my grandson in Texas. I framed the pictures of who she made it for and had it sent to her. She made it when she was almost 105 and this picture was August 2017.

Theresa was such a sweet lady full of life and a beautiful smile. I met her when my dad was at Berlin Rehab and she stopped on her walk to reassure my dad that he would be getting the best help there and get stronger. Every day as she walked the building she would stop to say hello. She was such a caring person.
God rest her soul and be with her family.

I was honored and blessed to have known Theresa McCann and call her my friend though it was for such a relatively brief time. (I never met either of my grandmothers but she was a bit too young to consider her my surrogate grandmother.) My late father and I met Theresa in November 2015 when my father was a patient in the Virtua Berlin Rehab. One day I was taking my father for a wheelchair walk through the facility and we met Theresa while on one of her daily jaunts around the hallways. We greeted each other and Theresa remarked about the afghan on my father's lap. (She called my father “kid” though he was 94 at the time.) She mentioned that she crocheted afghans and an instant friendship was begun. We visited regularly while my father was a patient and after he was discharged that December, we promised to continue to visit her as often as possible. We kept our promise and I always enjoyed our visits through these last years. She was remarkable for many reasons. Her recollection of her past was incredible. Her grasp and knowledge of current events was as amazing and sometimes put me to shame. Her spirit and spunk was an inspiration to everyone. She always asked my father if he was continuing to walk at the end of each of our visits. She knew it was important to stay as active as possible both for one's physical and mental health. I loved sharing my animal pictures with her and loved hearing her many stories. She was a true lady in every sense. My last “good” visit with Theresa was the beginning of April. I brought her some pizzelles I had made and she smiled as she asked that I hide them in the back of a drawer as she wasn't sharing them with anyone. Otherwise, she most generous in sharing her warmth, wisdom and life lessons she had learned with everyone. She was truly a friend to everyone with which she came in contact. The “Greatest Generation” and subsequent generations have lost an irreplaceable gem of a lady. Thank you Theresa. You will live in our hearts forever and will forever be missed.

My condolences to the family and friends of this very well and long lived lady. There will always be a special and cherished place in our hearts for those we lose. Keeping them alive in our memory can always keep a smile on our face. I pray that you will find solitude and peace among those who knew and loved Ms. McCann. Always remember the scripture found at Psalms 34:17 & 18 where it tells us that Jehovah is close the brokenhearted, and he longs to comfort those who mourn. May you find that peace, and may you receive love and support from family and friends at this challenging time.

Theresa was truly loved by myself, my Mother and Father, my children and my siblings. Theresa and Tom moved in the home next to us in Lindenwold when I was about 12-13 years old. Though we moved away when I was 19 we remained close friends and I visited often. About 37 years of friendship. She watched me grow up, attended my wedding and watched my children grow. We loved to ask her questions and listen to her life growing up and watching technology evolve over the years. Theresa loved to pass the time crocheting and I will cherish the blankets that she made for us over the years. My children’s baby blankets will be used for generations to come and her life stories will be shared forever. My children were truly blessed to have known Theresa and she truly loved them as her own. We always said that Theresa was a blessing from The Father of All, sent to motivate and encourage others. My Father would always say that Theresa would out live them all. She did! Theresa can now Rest In Peace with my Mother, Phyllis. May 18, 2019

Theresa has been like a mom to my mom Phyllis Frazier. She has been apart of our lives since she moved to Lindenwold. She has made blankets for our weddings, baby blankets for our children which we will always hold dear. I believe mom went to get Theresa when she passed earlier that morning. She is special to so many and will never be forgotten.
God Bless you Theresa
