Obituary of Susan L. Smith

Susan (Hille) Smith, age 63, of Cherry Hill, NJ passed away peacefully on Sunday May 19th, 2019 at Samaritan Hospice in Voorhees, NJ. Unfortunately Sue's lung illness took her from us way too soon.  Sue graduated from Collingswood High School in 1974 then went to work for her parents at Hille Custom Upholstery in Collingswood, NJ and became a very talented upholsterer for many years.

Sue also had many other ventures throughout her life, she did interior decorating, co-owned a bowling pro shop in Cherry Hill, NJ and was also a competitive bowler, winning many tournaments and awards. She also owned her own upholstery shop in Florida at one time.  Sue was very ambitious and meticulous at everything she did and put her full heart into every task she undertook. She was very funny, sarcastic, and definitely entertaining and she had a great big heart.

Unfortunately, for the last several years Sue was disabled which was very hard for her, but she handled her illnesses with great strength and bravery and she was a fighter until the very end.  We will miss her beautiful blue eyes and her funny spirit, she was the life of a party.

The beach was her happy place and her motto was Live, Love & Laugh!

Sue was survived by her sisters: Stacy & Adam Brzozowski, Sandi & Ron Gassert, Sherry & Dave Harvey, her 2 children: Frank Zimmer and Jennifer Dawson and her 4 grandchildren: Kylie, Logan, Ryan & Nora and was pre-deceased by her sister Sunny Chandler and her parents Frank & Vema Hille.  Sue was also survived by her Aunt Lucille, many nieces and nephews, cousins, good friends, and wonderful neighbors at MSAA Commons.

Sue did not wish to have any services, however, memorial contributions may be made in her name to:The Samaritan Center at Voorhees - 265 Route 73 South - Voorhees, NJ 08043.

Sue's family would like to thank the caring staff at the Samaritan Center at Voorhees for all of their compassion and kindness. Sue's last breath on earth was her first breath in Heaven!
