Dale was open water swimming for a few years. He knew it all. He loved doing the work involved. When Ft. Myers Beach got into the picture he would stay with me. I can remember him up at all hours running off sheets of paper for the meet, only to have it pour rain the next day and then everything had to be changed. Never complained. I was proud to be his friend.
